Kreutzberg Canyon Natural Area

Texas Hill Country

I've been missing the mountains and rivers
San Antonio is so very flat.

This week I've been sick and desperately
needed to get out of the house.
So I looked to find a serene place
to do some walking and have
a picnic.

It took a little over an hour
to find our destination

The weather was a bit colder
than we expected
but the fresh air was so worth it.

Lately I've enjoyed taking
photos for my family and friends
to enjoy

We both enjoyed our own explorations

These little plants popped up everywhere along the trail

Saw these amazing butterflies

I love finding new places
to visit near our home.

I was really drawn to this TREE
standing all by itself alone with it's own beauty.
At times in my life I can relate...

The park had a building
to sit and watch the birds.
Those little birds come and go
so FAST.

Fun day in the wilderness...

Tower of the Americas

Ever since we moved to San Antonio I've been intrigued by a Tall, Tall building that looks like a sphere

Discovered it's called Tower of the Americas which was built in the 60's for a world fair.
Some friends told us that this tower had a restaurant so I've been dreaming of eating in this fancy restaurant that rotates for views of the city.

Dinner by candlelight

About a month ago Al made reservations so my small dream could come true.
It's not very often we get dressed up and splurge on a meal.
We enjoy married life of relaxing in pajames and watching movies.

This is actually our second restaurant that we've been in that rotates around a city.

In Hawaii Al took me to a similiar restaurant except we showed up in a sundress, shorts, and sandals.

Tower of Americas is actually the building they lit the New Year fireworks that we watched from a parking lot. So some of these pictures might be familiar.

While enjoying our meal two marriage proposals took place. So exciting to see women crying, men smiling and lots of kisses.

My drink enjoying the view...

It felt a bit magical so I can only imagine why people
get engaged on a night like this one...

We decided to get some exercise after dinner so we walked around Hemisfair Park and the riverwalk. I don't recommend walking a couple of miles in high heels. Al was so sweet he offered to trade shoes!

In the background is a waterfront that looks
like Niagara Falls even though I've never been...

Hoping Everyone Had a Special
Day full of love and laughter.
