DelRay Beach

Explore the crystal clear Atlantic Ocean or visit unique galleries and boutiques on Atlantic Avenue by day; enjoy a night of dining and entertainment at any of Delray Beach’s award winning cafés or restaurants. When you stay in “Florida’s Village by the Sea,” at one of the grand hotels or a quaint seaside inn, you will instantly feel the warm and friendly atmosphere that makes downtown Delray Beach such a joy to visit. Come “downtown” and meet the beautiful people, shopkeepers and the entire community known as a Sociable City and recently awarded "Best of the Road - Most Fun Small Town in America" by Rand McNally & USA Today.

My husband talks to people all day long in the summers.
He has some of the best customers
they always tell us the best restaurants, beaches, and must see
Attractions.

The day we ventured to DelRay was a difficult week
car troubles that left us worried about the future
since we rely on our car to always get us back home
after the summer has come and gone.

We have met so many wonderful friends
who have unexpectedly helped us out
who we will be forever grateful for.

We realized we needed to park and the parking machines
only accepted coins.
We put in the few coins we found in my purse
and hoped to adventure into town in hopes for an atm
and exchange for quarters.
To think if we had been better prepared we would have missed
walking in downtown and looking at all the fun shops.
A few stores gave us quarters for our dollars.
So we were all set for some beach time.

While Al went to find a restroom
I discovered a man walking and playing the bag pikes.
I was so thrilled but sad because Al missed it.

I love walking new beaches.

Doesn't this look like fun?
Maybe one day I'll get to paddleboard.
I was wanting to try it in KeyWest
but we never made it to KeyWest
due to time and car troubles.
One day we'll get to Key West.

A must see beach while in Florida.
