Tis' The Season

This is the first year that it doesn't feel like the Holiday Season for us!

We have no snow and it's such lovely weather.

We walked to the park today in our t-shirts and shorts.
A little boy came up to us that was playing near the slides.
Not sure where kids get no FEAR to approach strangers but from
a far his eyes locked on mine and he came charging.

He came up to me with his rocks in a bottle
and wanted to know if I wanted some of his applesauce.
I replied "Mmm, sure looks like good applesauce to me."
So for a few minutes we had a new two year friend while swinging on the swings.

You might think it was just another beautiful Summer day.

Until we walked back home and discovered our neighbor putting up Christmas lights.
I looked at my husband and replied "why is he putting up lights?"
Oh, yeah Christmas is only four weeks away.

We're trying, we saw signs all over town about the Downtown Riverwalk Christmas lights. We became excited because we where expecting a huge amount of lights and production. So when we showed up we where a little disappointed with a few strands of lights but it was still pretty. We had a nice night walking downtown.

Trying to get into the Christmas spirit with a little bit of baking. Chocolate pudding pie and snickerdoodles. Next on my list will be sugarcookies. Maybe playing some Christmas music and getting out the Christmas decorations will due the trick.
